How to choose an Instagram page management agency
By Vaibhav Jalota, founder of Cutframe Studio ·
Choose an agency that shows you a monthly content plan before anything goes live, makes its own reels instead of only posting graphics, lets you approve every post, and reports on reach and enquiries rather than follower counts. Ask to see pages they manage right now, not just a portfolio.
What page management should actually include
“Page management” means very different things to different agencies. Some only schedule posts you send them. Others plan, shoot, edit, write and post everything. Before comparing prices, make sure you are comparing the same work.
- A monthly content plan: what goes out, on which day, and why
- Reels, not just static posts, since short video is what Instagram pushes to new people
- Captions and hashtags written for you, in your brand’s voice
- Scheduled posting, so your page stays consistent even in busy weeks
- Profile upkeep: bio, highlights, pinned posts and link
- A simple monthly report: reach, profile visits, link clicks and DMs
Questions to ask before you sign
- Can I see three Instagram pages you manage right now?
- Who makes the reels: your team, freelancers, or me?
- Can you shoot at my location, or do I need to send footage?
- Do I approve every post before it goes live?
- What happens if I want changes to a reel?
- Is there a lock-in period, and what notice do I need to give?
- Who owns the content and the account logins if we stop working together?
Red flags
- Promises of a fixed number of followers. Nobody controls the algorithm, and bought followers hurt your reach.
- Only Canva templates and stock images, with no original video.
- No approval step: posts going live in your name without you seeing them.
- Asking you to hand over your password instead of being added as a team member through Meta Business Suite.
- Reports that only mention likes and followers, never enquiries or sales.
Local or remote?
Editing, design and posting can all be done remotely. Where a local agency helps is filming: a team in Delhi NCR can come to your shop, clinic, office or event and shoot content in one visit, which usually looks far better than phone clips sent over WhatsApp. If you are outside Delhi NCR, a remote team that works from your footage is perfectly fine.
