Do you need a website if your business is already on Instagram?

Usually, yes. Instagram is where people discover you, but a website is what shows up when they search Google, it is the page you fully own, and it gives customers one clear place to see your services, prices and contact details. A simple one-page site is enough to start.
What a website does that Instagram can’t
- Shows up on Google when someone searches for your service in your area
- Can’t be lost to a hacked account, a ban or an algorithm change
- Puts your services, prices, location and contact options on one clear page
- Builds trust with customers who check a business before calling
- Lets you track enquiries with tools like Google Analytics
What the first version should include
- What you do and where, in one sentence at the top
- Your services, each with a short description
- Photos or videos of real work, not only stock images
- A WhatsApp button and a contact form
- Your address or service area, phone number and opening hours
- Fast loading on phones, since that is where most visitors will be
Connect it to Instagram and Google
Put the website link in your Instagram bio and story highlights, and add it to your Google Business Profile. Each one sends people to the others, and Google sees a consistent business across all of them.
